‘This City Is Theirs’: How One Chicago Program Is Implementing SEL

Chicago students dance to music, play with Legos, and run around in a game of tag to slowly build their social-emotional skills in ways that the Carole Robertson Center for Learning hopes will also deepen their relationships with their community. Throughout a nine-week summer program and a year-round Out-of School Time program, the center prioritizes student fun, while also emphasizing an important aspect of social-emotional learning: relationships.
